In the April 2024 issue of Fare, the information magazine by Confindustria Emilia Area Centro, Cablotech and its 30th anniversary are discussed in the article “Three Decades of Innovation: Cablotech Celebrates 30 Years.”

“Cablotech, a company based in Castel San Pietro Terme, in the province of Bologna, specializing in custom solutions for all wiring needs of electronic and electromechanical products and semi-finished products, celebrated its thirtieth anniversary in 2023.”

Cycling shone again on September 23rd, when Gran Premio Varignana 2023, national cycling race for Elite and Under 23s, was held on the fascinating streets of Castel San Pietro Terme.
This edition, anchored in the national cycling tradition, reserves a peculiarity: the Trophy now celebrates the memory of Valter Golfieri.

The sporting event was born in 2021 by the will of a group of enthusiasts with desire to carry on the tradition of Varignana Cup, which would have celebrated a grandiose seventieth anniversary this year.

Between emotions and passion, from February 27th to early April, Cablotech will host some of the most fascinating images from the exhibition dedicated to Valentino Rossi, “Il Giallo in Mostra – Una Storia d’amore”. An unmissable opportunity to relive the career of the legendary Italian rider through the intense shots of photographer Mirco Lazzari.

The exhibition, consisting of 46 photos that pay homage to Rossi’s famous number, traces the most exciting and significant moments in the life and career of “The Doctor Yellow (Giallo), the colour that for all motorcycle fans evokes the memory of a world icon, synonymous with talent, grit and charisma.

Organized by the Pro Loco Tourism Association of Castel San Pietro Terme and sponsored by the Emilia-Romagna Region, the photo exhibition was inaugurated at the end of 2021 in the same location, and will then continue its regional tour with various stops, including the “Enzo e Dino Ferrari” racetrack in 2022. The tour will continue throughout 2023, allowing an ever-growing audience to admire the emotions told through Mirco Lazzari‘s camera shots.

On 25 September Cablotech proudly greeted the departure of the national and foreign teams in the Elite and Under 23 categories.

The history of the Grand Prix

The race deeps its roots in historic “Varignana Cup”, a regional race that from 1952 to 2019 was an important event for Italian amateurs, involving hundreds of cyclists and enthusiasts.
In 2020 the race did not take place due to the pandemic. On 25 September Cablotech proudly greeted the departure of the national and foreign teams in the Elite and Under 23 categories: Varignana Grand Prix

The 2021 edition

This year the organizing committee, made up of Asd Sergio Dalfiume 1952, Biotraining Cycling Team Asd and Polisportiva Villafontana di Medicina Asd, wanted to leave more motivated and determined than ever to create a noteworthy event.
National teams and some foreign teams (English, French and Russian) were invited to the event, involving about 300 people including athletes, sports directors and technicians.

The circuit has also been renewed: the route of 137 km and 1289 meters in altitude started from the square of Cablotech plant in Osteria Grande to then unwind along a spectacular renovated and panoramic circuit on the hills between Castel San Pietro Terme, Liano and Varignana.

We had the pleasure of receiving the first official visit of Mr. Luca Palladino, President of CNA Imola Metropolitan Association, elected on June 29, together with the CNA General Secretary Mr. Sergio Silvestriniand the director Mrs. Ornella Bova.

During the meeting we presented the story of Cablotech: from its birth in the family garage to its current reality of 3200 square meters and 50 employees, which has been reached thanks to the continuous desire to improve and always achieve new growth goals.

We illustrated how Cablotech is facing the current pandemic situation, which forced us to slow down in production with a few months of layoffs. Now we fortunately overcame thanks to a recovery due to numerous requests from new customers who have brought back to a satisfactory production level.

During the visit to the production plant we presented the new layout and the new investments in machinery and equipment thanks to which it was possible to optimize productivity.

The improvements made also aim to keep the focus on safety for employees and on the importance of making the work environment more comfortable.

A few days ago we took part to the first (online) event organized to celebrate the 110th anniversary of ITKAM foundation.

The health emergency has put Cablotech as well in difficulties, although it continued the activity thanks to ATECO code and as supplier of the medical supply chain and data centers UPS.

Orders and production dropped but it met all economic commitments by closing the first quarter in a draw and deciding not to suffer events but to take advantage of this time to carry out projects for which it had already made important investments: the reorganization of the production layout to optimize flows with a substantial reorganization of the factory and the intervention on the logo and website to communicate the new corporate identity which will be introduced in the coming months. Determined to transform this period of difficulty into opportunity, it prepares itself at the best for the restart.
